PayMrBill started from a frustration every freelancer knows. You find a "free invoice generator," spend ten minutes carefully filling in your business details, line items and taxes — and the moment you click Download, a signup wall appears. Or the PDF arrives with a watermark across it. Or you discover the free plan covers three invoices a month and the fourth one costs you a subscription.
That's not free. That's a sales funnel wearing a free costume.
What we do differently
- No signup, ever. There is no account system. There is nothing to sign up for.
- No watermark. Your PDFs are clean, professional documents with your branding — not ours.
- No invoice caps. Create one invoice or one thousand. The tool doesn't count.
- Private by architecture. Everything runs in your browser. Your invoice data never touches our servers, because there is no server-side processing at all.
How is it free, then?
Honest answer: advertising. The site shows ads, and that covers the (very low) cost of running a static website. A static site with no backend, no database and no user accounts costs almost nothing to operate — so we don't need to squeeze you. We also plan to recommend accounting software through affiliate links on our guides, clearly labeled as such, for readers who outgrow simple invoicing.
What PayMrBill is not
PayMrBill is a document generator, not accounting software. It doesn't track who paid you, doesn't send reminders, and doesn't give tax advice. It does one thing well: turn your details into a professional invoice PDF in under a minute. If you need full bookkeeping, our guides will point you toward proper accounting tools.
